For Canadian immigration lawyers and RCICs
Every IRCC letter, client email and deadline, organized by file number
Forward case emails or upload documents. Clairfile reads them, builds each client's chronology, flags deadlines, and links every fact back to its source.

Overview

- App servers in Toronto

- Every fact links to its source
- No mailbox scanning: you choose what comes in
How it works
-
Step 1
Add a client
Name the client and add the file numbers you already use: UCI, application number, your own reference.
-
Step 2
Forward or upload
Each client gets its own forwarding address. Forward the emails that matter, or drag in PDFs and scans. Anything Clairfile can't place waits in triage for you.
-
Step 3
Review and act
See official correspondence first, then client messages, a dated chronology and open deadlines. Ask Clairfile questions about the file and get answers that cite the documents.
Built for Canadian immigration practice
File numbers are the key
Filter everything by UCI, IRCC application number, Federal Court file number or your own reference. One client, several applications, no mix-ups.
Official before client
Letters from IRCC, CBSA, the IRB and the courts are separated from client messages and shown first.
Dates kept apart
Sent date, document date and deadline are never confused. A missing date stays missing instead of being guessed.
You stay in charge
Extracted file numbers stay suggested until you confirm them. AI never decides which client an email belongs to.
Alongside your practice management
Keep your practice management software for intake, forms, billing and trust accounting. Clairfile does one job: it reads the file so nothing in it gets missed.
Where your data goes
Law societies expect you to know where an AI tool stores and processes client information. Here is where Clairfile does.
- Application
- Runs on Fly.io servers in Toronto.
- Database
- Stored in Toronto, in the same region as the application.
- Files and attachments
- Encrypted with AES-256-GCM by Clairfile before they are stored with our storage provider, Tigris, which keeps copies in regions around the world. Tigris only ever holds the encrypted files.
- Email intake
- Forwarded emails are received through Postmark.
- AI processing
- Document and email text is sent over HTTPS to Mistral AI, which runs on infrastructure in the European Union.
- Access
- Only people you add to a client can see it, as an owner, member or viewer.
Encrypted files and AI processing are outside Canada. If data residency is a requirement for your practice, tell us before you send client files.
